Opal's are considered to be one of the luckiest stones in all the world. Ancient Romans believed the stone was symbol of hope and love. Ancient Greeks believe it protected the owner from disease and gave them the gift of prophecy. Ancient groups even thought the stone came to Earth in the flashes of lightening.
Today we see that opal is indeed the "precious stone" it's name implies. The play of color in an opal hits every color of other stones. You'll see the red of a ruby, the green of an emerald, and so many more.
